Sugar Mountain Resort fired up its arsenal of snowmaking machines last night on the Northridge, Switchback, Upper and Lower Flying Mile, Easy Street and the Magic Carpet slopes and plans to reopen for skiing and snowboarding tomorrow, Saturday, January 2nd for the fifth time this season.
Sugar Mountain Resort is determined to work along-side Mother Nature this December. Visit Sugar Mountain Resort this weekend because the Summit Express, Sugar’s new high-speed, detachable, six-passenger lift will be open for scenic rides to the summit and back. Plus the Summit Express gondola will offer rides as well.
Sugar Mountain Resort reopens tomorrow with skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating. The Summit Express chairlift will whisk guests to Sugar’s 5,300’ peak. Manmade packed powder and frozen granular snow will cover the Northridge, Switchback, Upper and Lower Flying Mile slopes. Day and night sessions will be available.
Sugar Mountain Resort’s thirteenth annual SugarFest lights up winter in Western North Carolina from December 18th through the 20th with Olympic figure skating medalist, Paul Wylie and two-time Olympic alpine skiing medalist, Diann Roffe.
