A mountain-top fireworks show, sponsored by the Village of Sugar Mountain Tourism Development Authority, viewed from Sugar’s 5,300’ peak begins around 9:00 p.m. The Summit Express chairlift runs July 4 from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. for mountain-top fireworks viewing. Purchasing a one-time lift ticket for fireworks viewing lift rides begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. No mountain bikes after 5:30 p.m. Toe River Bandits perform at the base lodge from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and food and beverages are available at the mountain’s base. Beverages are available at the summit.
