This season skiers and snowboarders will be excited about a slew of improvements, upgrades, and additions awaiting their arrival at Sugar Mountain Resort.
Not everyone appears on the cover of Sports Illustrated or skis their way to winning two Olympic medals, except of course, Andrew Weibrecht, who will be joining Sugar Mountain Resort’s preseason ski clinic coaching staff December 7-9. Nicknamed the Warhorse for the way he attacks the mountain, Andrew will spend each day up-close and personal with participants.
Sugar Mountain Resort’s rebuilt and expanded bike park opens Saturday, June 30. Trails are wider; expert terrain is better than ever; beginner and intermediate line options offer choices from the summit to the base, and added features like rollers, pumps, and jumps are scattered about the park.
Saturday, June 30, Sugar Mountain Resort hosts the second annual Summit Crawl. Run, hike, climb, or crawl as fast as you can to Sugar Mountain’s 5,300-foot peak by way of the Easy Street, Gunther’s Way, and Northridge slopes.
